About

Mike Savage is a 18-year music industry veteran, with experience in radio programming, promotion, A&R, publishing, and new media.  He formed his own independent artist management company in 2006.

Directly prior to the creation of the company, Savage worked as VP A&R/Artist Development at NovaTunes, a startup internet music company with an innovative, disruptive business model (he remains a consultant to the parent company).

Mike played a key role in launching the successful independent artist discovery/development firm, A&R Worldwide, and held a position there as Senior Director, Creative & Media.  In less than three years, Savage aided in discovering, developing and signing over 40 artists to U.S./global recording and/or publishing contracts – many of whom have achieved multi-Platinum status.  He also served as A&R Director for the Clear Channel Multimedia Group where he led talent search and discovery efforts.

Savage worked with Clear Channel as Radio Editor for their Network Magazine Group, where he spearheaded a major overhaul and re-design of their monthly VIRTUALLYALTERNATIVE publication.

Prior to this, Mike worked as Head of Promotion/Artist Development at 3:33/Universal Records, where he designed and implemented national radio promotion campaigns for all of the label’s artists.

Savage began his career in radio where he worked as an on-air talent and programmed successful, ground-breaking Alternative stations in major U.S. markets including New York, Los Angeles, and San Diego (He continues to keep his toes in radio by programming channels for internet radio startup Slacker).

The Mike Savage Artist Management active client roster includes Meiko, Esthero, Oren Lavie, Kelly Sweet, and producer/mixer/writer Adrian Bradford.

Every once in a while, Savage also finds the time to take a short nap.
